EARLY SPRING
- Clean up. Rake lawn of all sticks and leaves,
dethatch if necessary to remove as much dead grass as possible.
- Mow early. As soon as weather permits, set mower one
notch lower . This will result in early green up by letting
more light in.
- Fertilize. Now is the time to prevent crabgrass from
sprouting by fertilizing.
LATE SPRING
- Eliminate weeds. Late spring is the time to wipe
out dandelions and broadleaf weeds. This is done with fertilizer
with weed control built in to the mix.
- Prevent Grubs. Be sure to fertilize with a Grub control
mixture. Those pests can ruin your lawn.
